| Abstract | This paper presents a technique for image segmentation by texture. Lines are extracted from the image by using the Houng Transform and first-order statistics are calculated from them. Regions with different statics are segregated by using Mathematical Morphology. The technique is exemplified with respect to a synthetic and a real image. |
